SANTANDER

Santander is a city to feel at home, relax and enjoy discovering its appeal, its natural beauty, its extraordinary gastronomy, human quality of santanderinos, its vibrant cultural life and its abundant leisure.

It is a city which combines an urban environment with the essentials of Cantabriabeaches, landscape, naturegastronomy and culture .

The city is organized around a large natural harbor, used since before the Roman Empire. The surrounding landscape is privileged, with wide green spaces and beaches, highlighting the area of Mataleñas ,  Sardinero and La Magdalena , where Alfonso XIII had his summer residence.

Apart from the conditions of Santander as a city and the comfort for its size, it offers its visitors good communications, both by air (Airport Severiano Ballesteros is located 5 km from the city) and by sea (Britanny Ferries connect Santander with Plymouth, Portsmouth and Cork) and earth (motorways of Biscay and the Meseta and several rail lines connect it with the entire peninsula).

Santander is known as one of the most elegant and beautiful towns on the northern coast of Spain , and its admired landscapes and beaches also join corners and plans with which the Cantabrian capital is presented as a different city.
